THE JEWELS OF MAINIT: MAPASO WELLNESS RESORT

The town of Mainit is vigorously rich in diversity of natural resources from the natural minerals, endemic flora and fauna up to cascading beautiful mountains. Mainit is located at the southern part of the province of Surigao del Norte which one of the most visited municipality in the province.  A lots of tourist visits in the town  due to its multiple tourist destinations such as  Mainit Lake, Dayano Cave, Mapaso Hot Springs, Togolan Falls, Farmer Hills Garden, Kasili Resort and Hotel, Silop Lake and; the Rafflesia mixta or known as largest bloom flower in  the world that can also be found in Mainit. Among the jewels of Mainit, one of my favorite is the Mapaso Wellness Resort.

Are tired from stressful work and daily routines? Do you want to escape and experiences peace in the lap of nature? Well, Mapaso Wellness is perfect for you. Mapaso Wellness Resort is  hot sulfuric flowing water  resort situated in Barangay Magsaysay, Mainit Surigao del Norte which 3.5 kilometers far away from the main road. Mapaso Wellness Resort offers tourists a chance to soak in natural thermal pools with stunning views of nature. The mineral water in hot springs  helps reduce stress, boost blood circulation, detoxify skin problem and many other health benefits.

Mapaso Wellness Resort is developed by the local government of Mainit which helped to showcase the beauty of Mainit, creates employment and  generate additional revenues to the town. More tourists visit weekends than weekdays. The resort opens from 8 am to 5 pm everyday.

How to get there?

 From Butuan City

If you are coming from Butuan City, you just go to the integrated bus terminal in Butuan and take the bus going to Surigao City. The fare rate going to Mapaso Wellness Resort from Butuan is around P 185.00. Your drop off point is the triangle corner Magpayang. Upon reaching Barangay of Magpayang, ride a tricyle or habal- habal going to Mapaso Wellness Resort.

 From Surigao City

If you are coming from Surigao City, you just go to the integrated bus terminal in Surigao and take the bus or van  going to Kitcharao. Prepare a fare rate of P 70.00 . Your drop off point is Magpayang and upon arriving Magpayang, ride a tricyle or habal-habal going to Mapaso Wellness Resort with the fare rate of  70.00.

 If you have Car or Motorcycle to use, just set your destination to Mapaso Wellness Resort and navigate it with Google Maps or Waze.
